Porsche India has launched a facelifted version of its famed electric sports vehicle, the Taycan, with prices starting at Rs 1.89 crore (ex-showroom). While only the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo are now available, Porsche plans to add more models to the portfolio in the near future.

The redesigned Taycan has slight cosmetic improvements aimed at improving its already elegant look. The front bumper has been altered to increase the car’s breadth, with significantly updated headlamps. The rear has just minor alterations, including a new bumper and redesigned taillights, as well as a striking 3D Porsche emblem.

Inside, the facelifted Taycan receives major upgrades. The dashboard now features a new screen layout, which includes a fully digital display for the driver and an improved infotainment system. Optional passenger displays are also available. The three-spoke steering wheel includes a redesigned control lever for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which improves driver convenience. A computerized central console with air conditioning functions, a head-up display, 4-zone climate control, and sumptuous 14-way powered front seats with memory and ventilation are among the other features.

The facelifted Taycan has upgraded powertrain specifications across all versions, with an 800-V architecture for better performance and efficiency. The technical specifications are shown below:

The Turbo model, equipped with a 105 kWh battery, speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, making it the fastest in the lineup. Adaptive air suspension is standard, while Porsche’s ‘Active Ride’ suspension is an option for all-wheel drive variants.

New Taycan Price and Rivals

The prices for the Taycan variants launched in India are as follows:

  • Taycan 4S: Rs 1.89 crore (ex-showroom)
  • Taycan Turbo: Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom)

Porsche has not yet disclosed the pricing for the base Taycan variant. The Taycan continues to compete with rivals such as the Audi e-tron GT and Mercedes-Benz EQS in the luxury electric vehicle segment.
